They just don't last very long, January 13, 2012 By Imbroglio98 (Horrible, Maryland) - See all my reviews This review is from: Casio Products - Casio - FX-260 Solar Scientific Calculator, 10-Digit x Two-Line Display, LCD - Sold As 1 Each - All purpose scientific calculator offers fraction calculation, trigonometric functions and is solar powered. (Office Product) I've bought 3 of these calculators, unfortunately the last 2 were replacements after the other ones stopped working properly. The failure has always been the same, a keypad problem. On the first one I started getting multiple numbers (i.e, press, for example, 3 and get 33 or 333), or press a number and get nothing, even after repeated presses. The second one also had a keypad problem, but only the second issue, push a button and nothing happened. I guess the keypad membranes on these things just isn't great quality. On my first one I did remove the membrane and clean it, but when I put it back together it did the same thing. Too bad really because I do like this calculator, the layout is good and the functions are just what I want, and I really like it being solar powered so I never had to worry about the battery dying, but if it doesn't last long due to keypad problems then it's not really a value after all!
